OUR STORY
Allison Acres began developing as a dream based off a love for the land and flowers around 2019 but really took on fruition in 2020. A lot of prayers, tears, faith, and patience led us to where we are today. We have always dreamt of “living off the land” and thru the years God has breathed vision and clarity into it.
We’ve both grown up with country roots and a love for all things outdoors (hunting, camping, fishing, gardening, and simply having room to roam). We wanted to raise our family with that same respect and love for God’s creation. Space to roam. Space to be free. Space to dream. We have been so beautifully blessed with two little ones that bring so much joy to our life and one beautiful daughter that has a heavenly home and forever home in our hearts.
In order to better understand our journey we need to tell our story about the beautiful face behind our name of Allison Acres
Why Allison Acres?
June 15, 2015 we welcomed our first born baby girl Allison Jamie into our family. We were beyond excited and so grateful for this adorable blessing God brought into out life. We had prayed for this beautiful little girl and she brought so much joy into our marriage from the second we learned we were pregnant to the day we finally were able to hold her in our hands.
Allison had the purest energy and joy for life. She would light up a room with her love and laughter. Our dear sweet Allison became a big sister on January 31st, 2017 and fell so in love with her little sister. We were a complete family for an all too beautifully short 2 weeks before our little Allison woke up in the arms of Jesus. We have been thru extensive genetic testing and have worked with the SUDC foundation but the why is still a mystery. SUDC is similar to SIDS but children ranging in age of 1 year to 18 years old and stands for Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood.
The followings months brought with it a journey through grief that stretched us, molded us, and grew us. God blessed us with an incredible support community that surrounded us with so much love. We had always dreamt of “living off the land” and finding land someday. We said some day we would call it Allison Acres but at the time we did not really have a full vision of what that would look like.
Over the years that “vision” really took fruition and thru a lot of prayer, patience (all though I definitely lacked that at times), and dreaming God led us to this beautiful place in Dewitt to call home. We are so excited to have you follow this journey with us and looking forward to sharing flowers and someday produce from the farm!
